Second teen charged over brawl, NSW

A second teen has been charged following investigations into a large brawl at Fairfield West earlier this week, NSW Police say.

Police were called to parklands near Baragoola Street about 5pm on Wednesday (15 November 2017), following reports of up to 40 young people involved in a brawl.

Officers from Fairfield Local Area Command attended and dispersed the crowd.

It’s believed the fight was pre-arranged and involved students from several local schools.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested at the scene and charged with affray.

Following further inquiries, another 15-year-old boy was arrested in Lansvale yesterday (Thursday 16 November 2017) and taken to Fairfield Police Station.

He was charged with affray and given bail to appear at a children’s court on 5 December 2017.

Inquiries into the brawl are continuing and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
