Second Teen Charged With Attempted Murder - Shalvey

Detectives have charged a second teen for his alleged role in the attempted murder of a 17-year-old last week in Shalvey, as investigations continue.

About 10.40pm on Tuesday 6 January 2026, emergency services were called to an address on Sedgman Crescent, Shalvey, following reports a party of about 40 people had been underway before a brawl started in a driveway.

On arrival, officers attached to Mount Druitt Police Area Command located a 17-year-old boy with multiple stab wounds.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to hospital in a critical condition.

Officers from Public Order and Riot Squad, Operations Support Group, and the Dog Unit assisted with management of crowds who had remained at the location.

Police established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the incident.

As part of investigations, detectives arrested and charged a 16-year-old boy. He remains before the court.

Following inquiries, at 11:50am yesterday, Monday 12 January 2026, police attended a separate house in Sedgman Crescent, Shalvey.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested and taken to Mt Druitt Police Station where he was charged with attempted murder.

He was refused bail to appear before Bail Division Court today, 13 January 2026
