Second Teenager Charged Over Assault In Sydney CBD

A second teenager has been charged over an alleged assault Sydney's CBD last month.

About 2.50am on Wednesday 18 February 2026, emergency services responded to reports of a brawl on Pitt Street, Sydney.

NSW Ambulance paramedics attended and treated three men - aged 23, 28 and 29 - at the scene for minor injuries.

Officers from Sydney City Police Area Command attended the location and were informed that the men were approached by a group of three other men not known to them and assaulted.

During the assault it will be alleged a hammer was used before the group left the location prior to police arrival.

Police commenced an investigation and Sydney City detectives arrested a 16-year-old boy on Thursday 26 February 2026, who remains before the court.

Following further inquiries, about 11.45am today (Monday 2 March 2026), officers attached to Tuggerah Lakes Police District arrested a 14-year-old boy at an address in Gorokan.

He was taken to Wyong Police Station where he was charged with three counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company of others.

The boy was refused bail to appear at a children's court tomorrow (Tuesday 3 March 2026).
