Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken spoke today with Canadian Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly about Russia's premeditated, unprovoked, and unlawful invasion of Ukraine. Secretary Blinken noted appreciation for Canada's close coordination on the strong sanctions response and unequivocal support for Ukraine. The Secretary and reaffirmed condemnation of Russia's actions and called for Russia to immediately cease all hostilities.
