Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken spoke yesterday with the UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Secretary Blinken thanked the Foreign Minister for the UAE's generous support in the effort to safely transit U.S. citizens, embassy personnel, and foreign nationals evacuated from Kabul. The Secretary and Foreign Minister also discussed other important regional security efforts to support a more peaceful and prosperous Middle East.
