Secretary Antony J. Blinken met virtually today with Mexican Foreign Secretary Marcelo Ebrard. Secretary Blinken and Secretary Ebrard discussed our continued cooperation on migration issues, including the wind down of the Migrant Protection Protocols, as well as our shared efforts to address the challenges COVID-19 represents for our countries. The two leaders reaffirmed the strong partnership between the United States and Mexico and our dedication to working to improve the security and economic prosperity of our peoples. Secretary Blinken emphasized the need to work together in the global climate effort and address energy concerns.
