Secretary General Marija Pejčinović Burić met today the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen in the Berlaymont building. The meeting focused on the upcoming Council of Europe Fourth Summit of the Heads of State and Government in Reykjavik (16th - 17th May).
Marija Pejčinović Burić underlined the importance of the continuous support to Ukraine and the proposal to set up a Register to record and document evidence and claims of damage, loss, or injury resulting from the Russian aggression against Ukraine.
The EU accession to the European Convention of Human Rights and the established Council of Europe Contact Group on co-operation with Belarus democratic forces and civil society were also part of the agenda.
