Earlier this morning 11 female officers from the Brisbane Region joined approximately 10,000 people in Brisbane’s biggest celebration of women by taking part in the Mater Hospital’s RACQ International Women’s Day Fun Run, Queensland Police say.
In support of the Queensland Police Service involvement, Assistant Commissioner Bob Gee, Brisbane Region said not only does this initiative support an extremely important charity, it demonstrates work being completed to promote ‘inclusion and diversity’ within the organisation.
"The QPS is part of, and representative of, the wider community and these women exhibit values I think we can all be proud of," Assistant Commissioner Gee said.
