Senior Constable charged after collision

A senior constable from north-west region has been charged following an internal investigation.

The 35-year-old male officer has been charged with fail to stop at the scene of a collision, fail to render assistance, fail to exchange details, careless driving and fail to give way at a stop sign.

These charges follow a two-car collision that occurred in Warburton on 28 August.

The driver of the second car received minor injuries.

The male officer was off duty at the time and has been summonsed to appear at a magistrates' court at a later date.
