Senior constable charged with driving offences

A senior constable from western region has been charged with driving offences following two separate incidents that occurred whilst on duty.

He has been charged with exceeding a speed sign by 35km/h but less than 45km/h in Smythes Creek on 17 April 2020 and driving at a speed dangerous and exceeding a speed sign by 45km/h or more in Ballarat on 18 April 2020.

The 33-year-old man has been suspended and will appear at court at a later date.
