Seniors Festival is back in 2021 and looking for groups interested in holding an event as part of festival

The City of Greater Bendigo is excited to announce the 2021 Seniors Festival will take place from Sunday October 3 to October 10 and is calling for expressions of interest from clubs, groups and organisations interested in holding an event as part of the festival.

The Greater Bendigo Seniors Festival offers a range of free and low-cost, COVID-safe events and activities for older adults and is a valued annual event.

City of Greater Bendigo Community Wellbeing Manager Caroline Grylls said the City is calling on local community groups who would like to hold an event as part of the festival to showcase their group and provide entertainment for older adults.

"Groups and organisations can hold come and try days, craft activities, gardening, exercise programs, in fact any activity or entertainment that older adult members of the community will enjoy," Ms Grylls said.

"The Seniors Festival is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the resilience of older adults and encourage them to reconnect and be involved following COVID-19.

"This year the festival theme is "keepin on" and we would love to include as many activities and events on the program as possible."

If any groups or organisations would like their event listed and promoted in the printed and online festival program, please complete an Expression of Interest form.
