Sentazon drilling continues to extend high-grade mineralisation at Challenger's Hualilan Gold Project

Challenger Exploration (ASX: CEL)

Highlights:

  • Deeper drilling, including extensions to existing holes, continues to extend the high-grade mineralisation at Sentazon with results including (refer Table 1):
    • 4.6m at 25.6 g/t AuEq2 - 24.3 g/t Au, 23.0 g/t Ag, 2.2% Zn from 213.0m and;
    • 10.2m at 14.2 g/t AuEq2 - 12.5 g/t Au, 10.6 g/t Ag, 3.5% Zn from 230.0m including;
    • 4.5m at 25.6 g/t AuEq2 - 23.6 g/t Au, 14.1g/t Ag, 4.3% Zn (GNDD-044e)
    • 11.3m at 8.8g/t AuEq2 - 5.4g/t Au, 76.9 g/t Ag, 5.5% Zn from 143.5m including;
    • 4.0m at 17.4 g/t AuEq2 - 10.6 g/t Au, 141 g/t Ag, 11.7% Zn and;
    • 1.0m at 10.3 g/t AuEq2 - 8.9 g/t Au, 5.4 g/t Ag, 3.0% Zn from 325.0 (GNDD-352)
  • Extends high-grade mineralisation at Sentazon another 100 metres down dip, a 50% increase, with mineralisation open along strike, at depth, and up-dip into the Hualilan Hills.
  • Follow-up drilling (assays pending) a further 100 metres down dip continues to intersect zones of massive sulphides in strong garnet-silica-pyroxene (skarn) alteration1 .
  • Broad zones of lower grade mineralisation intersected in sediments which is potentially analogous to the halo mineralisation seen in the Verde Zone 400 metres north.
  • Six additional holes completed (assays pending), one hole in progress, and ten holes programmed as the Sentazon drill program continues to be expanded.
