Serious Assault Appeal, Burleigh Heads

Police have released images of two men who may be able to assist with investigations into a serious assault that occurred at Burleigh Heads on Sunday, 1 February.

Initial investigations indicate that at approximately 2:00am, a 19-year-old man sustained injuries during an altercation with two other men near West Street.

The 19-year-old Mermaid Waters man was taken to Robina Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The man on the right is described as Caucasian with medium length dark hair, and was seen wearing a black t-shirt, black quarter length shorts, black and white coloured shoes as well as having a black sling bag and silver necklace.

The man on the left is described as having a tan complexion with short dark hair and was seen wearing a black t-shirt with a horizontal white stripe, black shorts, white shoes and a silver chain.

Police are urging the men, or anyone who may have relevant information regarding the incident to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
