Police and emergency services are investigating following an assault in Boronia this morning, Victoria Police say.
The incident occurred at an address on Macquarie Place about 11.30am.
A man in his 40s has been taken to hospital with head injuries.
The exact circumstances of the incident are yet to be determined and the investigation is ongoing.
A man in his late 20s is currently in custody and assisting police with their enquiries.
The parties are believed to be known to each other.
