Two boys are assisting police with inquiries into a serious assault incident which occurred in Surfers Paradise early this morning, Queensland Police say.
Just before 2am, a 21-year-old man was punched to the back of his head, causing him to fall to the ground on Ferny Avenue and hit his head on the pavement.
He was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital with serious head injuries.
Two boys, one aged 16 and one aged 15 are currently assisting police with their investigation.
