Serious Crash After Disturbance, Esk

Police are investigating a serious traffic crash that occurred following a disturbance at Esk early this morning, October 9.

Around 1.30am, police were called to a home on Middle Street following reports of a disturbance.

As officers arrived, a vehicle left the scene at speed and crashed a short distance away. The driver, a 28-year-old man, was airlifted to Princess Alexandra Hospital with life-threatening injuries. A 27-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was taken to Ipswich General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigations are continuing into the circumstances surrounding both the disturbance and the crash, with oversight from the Ethical Standards Command (ESC).
