Serious crash Elizabeth, South Australia

A man is in a critical condition following a serious crash at Elizabeth overnight.

Just before 11.20pm Wednesday 17 April police and emergency services were called to Main North Road near Philip Highway after reports a Holden sedan had lost control and collided with a light pole.

Upon arrival emergency services found the male driver unresponsive inside the car. The car had been travelling on Philip Highway before turning south onto Main North Road where the collision occurred.

The man was rushed to the Royal Adelaide Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

Police closed south bound lanes on Main North Road for several hours while offices from Major Crash attended the scene, however the road has now been reopened.
