Serious crash in Werrington

Police are investigating a serious injury crash in Sydney’s west, NSW Police say.

About 7.35pm today, a Holden Commodore sedan and a Holden Commodore utility collided on Dunheved Road, Werrington.

The adult female driver of the utility was trapped in the vehicle for about an hour before being released with extensive leg injuries. She has been taken to Westmead Hospital where she is in a critical condition.

An adult male passenger of the utility was also taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment to leg injuries.

The Commodore had four male juvenile occupants. They have been taken to Westmead Children’s Hospital for a range of non-life threatening injuries.

The ages of the occupants are not available at this stage.

The Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit is on scene conducting inquiries. Local diversions are in place.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
