A driver has sustained life threatening injuries after his vehicle left the roadway and crashed in rural Queensland early this morning, Queensland Police say.
Around 5.30am a motorist travelling on the Capricornia Highway, approximately 5km east of Bogantungan, came across a 4WD crashed into a drain.
The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a 27-year-old man, was entrapped.
After being removed from the 4WD with critical head injuries the man was transported to Emerald Hospital.
Investigations by the Forensic Crash Unit are continuing.
