Serious house fire at Weranga, QLD

Police are investigating a house fire at Weranga yesterday that resulted in three people receiving serious injuries, Queensland Police say.

At about 8pm, police attended a Ross Road residence after receiving reports of a fire at that location.

On arrival police observed the property to be engulfed in flames.

The three occupants of the house were able to self-evacuate, however all three received serious burns whilst attempting to escape.

A 34-year-old man and two young children were airlifted to hospital in a critical condition.

The house was completely destroyed as a result of the incident.

Investigations are continuing.
