Serious motorbike crash, Watalgan

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following a single-vehicle crash at Watalgan, north of Bundaberg, yesterday afternoon, September 21.

Initial investigations indicate at approximately 1pm, a motorbike was travelling north along Rosedale Road when it left the road, crashed, and caught fire.

The fire then spread and took hold in nearby vegetation.

The rider, a 50-year-old Captain Creek man, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Bundaberg Hospital in a critical condition.

Emergency crews managed to contain the fire, and no one else was physically injured.

Witnesses or anyone with relevant vision is urged to contact police.
