Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a crash on the Central Coast today, NSW Police say.
Just after 10.30am today, police and emergency services responded to reports of a crash between a motorcycle and a utility on the Old Pacific Highway, near Cowan Road at Mooney Mooney.
A 54-year-old man riding the motorcycle was treated at scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics for head injuries and was flown by Westpac Rescue helicopter to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.
A female pillion rider was also treated at the scene for an injury to her wrist. She was taken by ambulance to Royal North Shore Hospital in a stable condition.
The driver of the Holden utility, a man in his mid 20s, was not injured. He was breath tested at the scene with a negative result.
Officers from Brisbane Water Traffic & Highway Patrol Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
