Serious single-vehicle crash in Wyong

A man has been injured following a serious single-vehicle crash at Wyong this morning, NSW Police say.

Just before 6.30am today, emergency services were called to Panonia Road after reports of a crash.

Police have been told a Toyota corolla hit a tree before crashing into the fence of a school.

The driver and sole occupant, a 50-year-old man, was trapped. After being released, he was airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Officers from Tuggerah Lakes Local Area Command attended and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
