A woman has sustained critical injuries following a traffic crash in Bayview Heights yesterday afternoon, 29 August.
Just after 5pm emergency services were called to a Glen Close address following reports a woman had been run over by a vehicle.
Initial investigations indicate the woman was trying to stop the car from rolling down the driveway when it ran over her.
There was no one driving the vehicle at the time.
The 75-year-old Bayview Heights woman was transported to Cairns Hospital in a critical condition.
Forensic Crash Unit investigations into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
