A cyclist has been seriously injured following a collision with a car at Gordon Park last night, Queensland Police say.
Preliminary investigations indicate the male rider was travelling eastbound along the footpath on Stafford Road near Gordon Street at around 7pm when he struck a vehicle exiting a driveway.
The cyclist, a local man aged in his 50s, was trapped under the vehicle for a period of time before being transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with life threatening injuries.
The 26-year-old male driver of the car was not physically injured.
The Forensic Crash Unit attended the scene and investigations into the incident are continuing.
