Serious traffic crash at Jimboomba, QLD

Police are investigating a serious traffic crash at Jimboomba this morning during which a man sustained life-threatening injuries.

Around 7.10am, the 49-year-old Flagstone man was driving a utility in an easterly direction along Cusack Lane, when his car travelled onto the wrong side of the road and collided with a truck carrying earth moving equipment.

The man sustained life-threatening head, limb and internal injuries and was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.

The 37-year-old Tamborine man driving the truck suffered minor injuries and was transported to Logan Hospital as a precaution.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
