Serious traffic crash in Bald Hills, QLD

Police are investigating a serious multi vehicle traffic crash that occurred in Bald Hills this afternoon, Queensland Police say.

Investigations to date indicate that a car that was travelling the north bound lanes of the Bruce Highway at 3.15pm lost control and crossed into the south bound lanes.

The car struck multiple vehicles and, as a result, a 71-year-old male motorcyclist and a 37-year-old driver of another vehicle were transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with serious injuries.

A number of other motorists were treated for a range of other injures which are believed to be non-life-threatening.

The Bruce Highway was shut for several hours but has since reopened.

The Forensic Crash Unit are requesting that anyone who was travelling in the area and may have dashcam or witnessed the crash to contact them.

Investigations are continuing.
