Police are investigating a serious, two vehicle traffic crash which occurred in Bluewater this afternoon, Queensland Police say.
Just after 3pm two vehicles collided head-on at the intersection of the Bruce Highway and Forestry Road.
The 74-year-old female driver of one of the vehicles and the 50-year-old male driver of the other vehicle were transported to the Townsville Hospital with serious injuries.
They were the sole occupants of each vehicle.
Police are appealing for any witnesses or people with relevant dashcam vision to contact police.
Forensic Crash Unit officers continue to investigate.
