Police are investigating a serious traffic crash which occurred in Avenell Heights in Bundaberg yesterday evening, Queensland Police say.
Preliminary information indicates at around 6:30pm a 14-year-old boy was riding a bicycle on Lovejoy Street when he was struck by a car as it turned into Lovejoy Street from Sims Road.
The boy was transported to Bundaberg Hospital and was subsequently transported to Lady Cilento Hospital overnight where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
The 43-year-old female driver of the car was not physically injured during the incident.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
