Police are investigating a serious traffic crash which occurred in Helensvale this morning, Queensland Police say.
Initial investigations suggest at around 2.30am a utility travelling north along the Pacific Motorway collided with a parked prime mover and trailer with its hazard lights activated on a road area.
The 33-year-old male driver of the utility was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.
The driver of the prime mover is assisting police with their investigations.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
