Police are investigating a serious traffic crash in Mossman Gorge yesterday, Queensland Police say.
Initial investigations indicate at around 11.50am a man riding a bicycle along Mossman Gorge Road has fallen over in front of bus travelling in the opposite direction.
The 76-year-old man from Port Douglas was transported to Mossman Hospital and later flown to Cairns Base Hospital in a critical condition.
A 65-year-old bus driver is assisting police with their investigations.
The Cairns Forensic Crash Unit are investigating.
