Serious Traffic Crash Spurs Police Response in North Rockhampton

Police are investigating a serious two vehicle crash that occurred at Norman Gardens this evening.

Initial investigations indicate shortly before 7pm, a white Ford Ranger and motorbike collided at the intersection of Barrett Street and Capricornia Crescent.

The rider of the motorbike, a 17-year-old Gracemere boy, sustained critical injuries and was transported to Rockhampton Hospital.

The pillion passenger of the motorbike, a 16-year-old Allenstown boy, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Rockhampton Hospital.

The driver of the Ford Ranger, a 36-year-old Norman Gardens man, was not physically injured.

Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam vision from the area to come forward.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
