A man is in a critical condition following a serious traffic incident in Cannonvale last night, Queensland Police say.
Initial information suggests at 9pm, a 36-year-old man ran out in front of a taxi along Waterson Way, jumped onto the bonnet and climbed onto the roof.
The man fell from the moving vehicle onto the road, and sustained serious head injuries.
Police located the man and immediate first aid was administered.
He was transported to Proserpine Hospital, and then later transferred to Townsville Hospital where he is in a critical but stable condition.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
