A man's been charged after a service station in Sydney's south-west was robbed three times in a one-month period earlier this year.
About 8pm Thursday 8 April 2021, a man entered a service station on Punchbowl Road, Belmore, and allegedly threatened the attendant with a knife, before taking an amount of cash and cigarettes as well as the attendant's mobile phone and fleeing.
About 9.30pm Sunday 11 April 2021, a man entered the same service station while armed with a knife, allegedly demanding and taking an amount of cash and cigarettes then fleeing.
Around 10.45pm Sunday 25 April 2021, the service station on Punchbowl Road was robbed by a masked man armed with a knife, who demanded cash, cigarettes, and the attendant's wallet before fleeing.
The attendants, men aged 42, 30, and 26, were not injured during the incidents.
Officers from Campsie Police Area Command attended on each occasion and commenced investigations.
Following inquiries, detectives attended a correctional facility at Silverwater today (Wednesday 2 June 2021) and spoke with a 26-year-old man, before charging him with four counts of robbery armed with offensive weapon.
He appeared later today at Parramatta Local Court via AVL where he was refused bail to appear at Burwood Local Court next Wednesday (9 June 2021).
