Seven Charged, Guns Seized in Queanbeyan Stabbing Probe

NSW and ACT detectives have charged seven men and have seized multiple firearms as part of a cross border investigation into a double stabbing in Queanbeyan earlier this year.

About 1.10pm on Friday 8 July 2025, police were called to a business on Crawford Street, Queanbeyan following to reports of a brawl.

On arrival officers were advised that two men – aged 26 and 29 – had been taken to Queanbeyan Hospital with serious stab injuries.

Detectives attached to Monaro Police District established a crime scene and set up Strike Force Flomore to investigate the incident.

Following extensive investigations, yesterday (Wednesday 3 September 2025), seven search warrants were executed across New South Wales and the ACT.

The NSW searches, which were conducted by Monaro PD detectives – assisted by Monaro Region Enforcement Squad and SCC Raptor South at homes in Queanbeyan and Crestwood.

During the searches detectives located and seized three pistols and one disassembled Glock pistol.

Two men – aged 24 and 30 – were arrested at one property in Queanbeyan, with a third man – aged 27 – arrested at a home in Crestwood. A fourth man – aged 25 – was also arrested at a home in Queanbeyan with all four being taken to Queanbeyan Police Station.

Four search warrants were also executed in the ACT, with assistance of various ACT Policing criminal investigation and AFP specialist operation officers.

During those searches three men – aged 20, 27, 33 – were arrested and taken to the ACT Watch House at City Station before appearing at the ACT Magistrates Court and being extradited to Queanbeyan, NSW.

All seven men were charged with cause wounding/grievous bodily harm to person with intent to murder (two counts), wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm (two counts) and take person in company with intent commit serious indictable offence. An eighth male will be charged when he appears in court later this month.

The 24-year-old was also charged with possess prohibited drug (two counts), possess/attempt to, prescribed restricted substance, and possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit.

The 30-year-old man was also charged with recklessly deal with proceeds of crime less than $5,000, possess unregistered firearm and possess prohibited drug.

The 25-year-old man was also charged with destroy/damage property in public disorder more than $2,000.

The seven arrested on 3 September 2025 have been refused bail to appear before Bail Division Local Court 3 today (Thursday 4 September 2025).

Investigations under Strike Force Flomore continue.
