Seven injured in two vehicle crash in Gladesville

Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward after seven people were injured in a head-on crash at Gladesville overnight., NSW Police say

About 11.30pm (Sunday 7 October 2018), emergency services were called to the intersection of Victoria Road and Sulter Street, Gladesville, following reports of a two-vehicle crash.

Police have been told a Subaru Impreza and Toyota Hiace van collided head-on.

The 25-year-old male driver and sole occupant of the Impreza was trapped in the vehicle for a period of time before being freed.

He was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a critical condition. He will also undergo mandatory testing.

The six occupants of the Toyota Hiace all sustained various injuries.

They were conveyed to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Royal North Shore Hospital and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, all in a stable condition.

Officers from Ryde Police Area Command attended the scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Investigators have urged anyone with information about the crash to come forward.
