Seventh person charged with drug supply after strike force investigation at Narrandera

A seventh person has been charged following investigations into an alleged large-scale drug supply operation in the state's south west.

In March 2019, Strike Force Devas was established by Murrumbidgee Police District to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs in the Narrandera area.

Following extensive investigations, strike force detectives last week (Wednesday 31 July 2019) executed six search warrants across Narrandera and Griffith, seizing drugs, weapons and cash.

Five men and a woman were charged for their alleged involvement in the supply of 'ice' throughout the region.

A seventh man, who was unable to be located at the time of the search warrants, remained outstanding.

Following police inquiries, about 10.15am yesterday (Monday 5 August 2019) a 28-year-old Narrandera man handed himself in to Narrandera Police Station.

He was arrested and charged with take part in supply prohibited drug and supply prohibited drug. The man was refused bail to appear before Wagga Wagga Local Court today (Tuesday 6 August 2019).
