Around 2am a 21-year-old woman used a ride share service from Broadbeach to a residence at Southport.

The woman left the vehicle and entered the residence on her own.

He is due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on April 17, 2019.

Detective Inspector Brendan Smith of the Gold Coast CIB said this type of predatory behaviour is totally unacceptable.

"Every person should be able go out, enjoy themselves and go home without becoming subject to an assault of any kind. The apprehension of people who commit these types of offences will continue to be of the highest priority for police."
