Sexual assault, Sunshine Coast

Police investigating the sexual assault of a 17-year-old girl at Alexandra Headlands on Wednesday, March 14 have released a comfit of a man who may be able to assist with their investigations, Queensland Police say.

Around 11.15am the girl was approached by a man on the access path to Alexandra Beach.

She ignored the man’s approach and continued walking from the beach towards the intersection of Pacific Terrace and Alexandra Parade.

The man continued to follow her before inappropriately grabbing her. She then pushed the man away and continued to walk away.

The man was last seen getting into a new model silver "sports type" sedan (possibly a Holden Commodore) before driving southbound along Alexandra Parade.

He is described as being Caucasian, in his late twenties to mid-thirties, approximately 187cm, with a large build and scruffy, dirty blonde hair.
