Seymour Opens New Footpath for Safer, Better Connectivity

Council will soon begin works on a new footpath along Tallarook Street in Seymour, helping to complete a missing pedestrian link.

The works will see a new footpath constructed along Tallarook Street, between Eliza Street and the Station Street/Wallis Street roundabout.

When is it happening?

Construction will begin on Monday 27 July and is anticipated to be completed by Monday 10 August, weather permitting.

What impacts will the work have?

  • Traffic management will be in place to ensure the safety of workers and road users
  • The informal gravel parking area on Tallarook Street will be temporarily closed for the duration of the works
  • Access to nearby homes and businesses will be maintained although minor delays may occur
  • Drivers and pedestrians are asked to follow all traffic management signage and directions from traffic controllers
