The advisory committee established to oversee implementation of actions identified in the Cairns 2050 Shared Vision has met for the first time.
Council endorsed the establishment of the Shared Vision Advisory Committee in November 2018. The committee comprises 19 representatives from a range of business, tourism, educational and other key stakeholder groups.
The initial meeting included a presentation on State Government capital expenditure and discussion around the Cairns region's priorities for the upcoming Federal election.
The group is proposed to meet twice a year, with the next meeting expected to be in October.
