Seven unique performance and exhibition projects have been backed by the Albanese Labor Government to showcase Australian talent across the globe.
The projects include dance, theatre and visual art and will travel across Asia, the Pacific, Europe and the United States, promoting Australia's vibrant cultural scene.
The funding is delivered through the International Cultural Diplomacy Arts Fund, which supports Australia's global cultural engagement to increase access to international audiences.
Timor-Leste and the Solomon Islands will each feature a recording project demonstrating Australia's commitment to leadership in the Pacific and Southeast Asia region by fostering creative sector exchange.
The recipients are:
- Papunya Tula Artists - to support artists to participate in public programming for First Nations art exhibitions in the United States.
- BlakDance Australia Ltd - to support the development and pilot of Guuranda 2.0 in Chennai, India.
- Performing Lines Ltd - to support Moongahlin Performing Arts' tour of The Visitors at the Auckland Arts Festival 2026 in New Zealand.
- Wantok Music Foundation - to support cultural exchange and recording projects in Timor-Leste and the Solomon Islands.
- Australasian Dance Collective - to support a tour of Bad Nature to the Netherlands and France.
- Chunky Move - to support performances in of U>N>I>T>E>D in Singapore, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, and You, Beauty in India.
- Auspicious Arts Projects Inc - Dumulmeori (where two rivers meet) Korean-Australian Dance Program.
Minister for the Arts, Tony Burke, said the program was important fixture of international cultural engagement.
"Our artists are storytellers that help us learn about ourselves, understand each other and let the world get to know us.
"These latest projects will captivate international audiences and showcase Australia's wide range of talent, while celebrating and sharing culture."
