Shellharbour CLUBGrants 2022 Funding Round Open Soon

Shellharbour City Council is inviting local community groups and organisations to apply for the 2022 ClubGRANTS community funding scheme.

ClubGRANTS is a state-wide initiative in which local clubs provide significant financial support for projects and services that contribute to the wellbeing of their local communities.

A free community information session will be held at the Shellharbour Civic Centre at 10am on Thursday 3 March.

The session will provide details about the ClubGRANTS funding, an introduction into the application process, Shellharbour ClubGRANTS local priorities and allow questions with the Local Committee.

Community groups and organisations can seek financial support through the Shellharbour ClubGRANTS Category 1 funding program.

This category supports community welfare and social services, community development, employment assistance activities, community health services and projects aimed at improving the living standards of low income and disadvantaged people.

Local clubs participating this year are Albion Park Bowling Club, Albion Park RSL, Oak Flats Bowling and Recreation Club, The Shellharbour Club, Warilla Bowls and Recreation Club and Warilla Sports Club.

Shellharbour City Mayor Chris Homer said that financial support from the city's larger clubs helped provide services that were vital to community wellbeing.

"The assistance enables community groups that would otherwise struggle to provide their ongoing services and support to our residents," Mayor Homer said.

"Each year, Council is proud to participate in this program and it is fantastic to see local registered clubs contributing back into the community.
