Shellharbour City Mayor Chris Homer says the Expo is a celebration of community spirit and connection.

"Volunteers are the heart of our community, and the Volunteer Expo is a fantastic opportunity for people of all ages to discover the many ways they can get involved," Mayor Homer said.

"Whether you have a few hours to spare or are looking for a long‑term commitment, there is a volunteering opportunity to suit everyone; and the benefits go both ways."

The Expo is ideal for students looking to build skills, professionals keen to share their expertise, parents seeking family‑friendly volunteering options, retirees keen to stay active and connected within the community.

Attendees can meet local organisations face‑to‑face, learn about a wide variety of volunteering roles, and discover how even a small contribution of time can make a big difference to the Shellharbour community.

Shellharbour City Council encourages residents to drop in, ask questions and explore how volunteering can benefit both the community and their own wellbeing.
