We have been made aware of a data breach of 'OracleCMS', which we use as Surf Coast Shire Council's after-hours emergency phone call service provider.

OracleCMS has advised us that Surf Coast Shire Council customer data is not impacted by the data breach.

Also, OracleCMS does not have access to any of our Council databases, so any information we have stored in our system has not been accessed.

When people call our Council for an emergency outside of business hours, OracleCMS takes the call on our behalf. Please note this represents a very small portion of the phone calls we receive, but to reiterate, the advice from OracleCMS is that no Surf Coast Shire Council customer data has been impacted.

We have immediately ceased our after-hours service arrangement with OracleCMS, and are now performing this service in-house.

We take the security of our customers' information very seriously. Please contact us online or call us on 5261 0600 if you have any concerns.
