Detectives are investigating after a man was located in the car park of a hotel in Waterford West with gunshot wounds yesterday evening, Queensland Police say.
Preliminary investigations indicate that around 5.50pm, the man arrived alone in a vehicle at the hotel carpark in Albert Street and sought assistance for a number of gunshot wounds to his lower body.
Police and emergency services were called to the address and the 25-year-old man was treated at the scene before being transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Two crime scenes were established – one in the carpark of the hotel and a second at a boat ramp at the end of Albert Street.
Police are appealing for anyone with any information that can assist their enquiries into the incident to contact Crime Stoppers.
