Shot fired into Goulburn home; man charged

A man been charged with shooting at a home in Goulburn earlier this month.

About 7.50pm on Sunday 9 June 2019, a 33-year-old man went to a house on Strathallen Crescent, Goulburn.

The man knocked on the door of the home, and when nobody answered he allegedly produced a shortened firearm and fired a shot at the house before driving from the scene.

The incident was reported the next day, and officers from The Hume Police District commenced inquiries.

About 11.50am yesterday (Tuesday 18 June 2019), police attended an address on Fraser Street, Macquarie Fields, and arrested a 32-year-old man.

He was taken to Campbelltown Police Station and charged with breach AVO, discharge firearm into premises, possess shortened firearm, armed with intent to commit indictable offence, and possess unauthorised firearm.

He was refused bail to appear at Campbelltown Local Court today (Wednesday 19 June 2019).
