Central Goldfields Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating after a shotgun was fired at a Castlemaine home early this morning, Victoria Police say.
A person has discharged the shot through the front door of the Ray Street address between 4.30-5.30am.
The two occupants, a man and woman, were home at the time of the incident however were not injured.
Investigators would like to speak to any witnesses or anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area around the time of the incident.
Police are urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
