Shots fired into Punchbowl unit

Police are appealing for public assistance after shots were fired at a unit in Sydney's west overnight.

Emergency services were called to a home on Columbine Avenue, Punchbowl, before 8.45pm (Tuesday 1 September 2020), following reports shots had been fired.

Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene, which will be examined by specialist forensic officers.

Three people were home at the time, but no one was injured.

Police have been told several people were seen leaving in a silver car.

No arrests have been made and inquiries continue.

The incident is now being investigated by detectives, who are appealing for anyone with information to contact Bankstown Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
