Simplifying Leeton Shire Council's emergency after hours contact details

Leeton Shire Council

Council is delighted to announce that, as of 13 December 2021, a dedicated Australian based call centre will commence taking all Council's after-hours calls.

The main purpose of the call centre will be to initiate immediate action on genuine emergency calls.

In the event of an afterhours emergency residents will simply need to call Council's main office number 02 6953 0911 and speak with a dedicated call centre operator who will take the details and relay them to the appropriate Council officer for immediate action, where relevant.

Council's Executive Manager IPR, Governance and Engagement Kerrie-Anne Hare said there are many benefits to introducing the afterhours call centre, not the least will be the improved management of Council's after hours emergency calls.

"With only one number to call, residents will find it simpler and easier to contact Council in the event of an afterhours emergency" she said.

Residents should note that Council's previous afterhours emergency contact numbers for Rangers, Parks, Roads and Water/Sewerage will all be redirected to the call centre.
